Meet Michael Minor
Originally from Iowa, Michael has had the privilege of
performing all over the United States and Europe. This
versatile and accomplished singer/actor has played many
roles in a variety of venues. Some of Michael's favorite
roles include Joe Hardy in Damn Yankees, Sid in Pajama Game
and Curly in Oklahoma where he met his wife, Jill. Michael
enjoyed performing for many stars in Las Vegas including
Celine Dion, Michael Crawford and Marie Osmond. Michael
left Vegas and moved to Branson where he was emcee/lead
vocalist for The Dixie Stampede and then The Shoji Tabuchi
Show. After 3 years, Michael and his wife knew that
they eventually would start a family. Looking for work
closer to Jill's family, they found a beautiful 1600 seat Theatre in
Pa. They auditioned and were hired to be cast members in
the original productions at The American Music Theatre. www.amtshows.com
Michael has grown as a performer vocally as well as his
repertoire of talents and impersonations. In every show
the director asks him to take on something new. Four years
ago, he was asked to learn ventriloquism. It was so well
received by the audience that it is now a tradition at the
American Music Theatre Shows. Michael's impersonations
range from Austin Powers to Ed Norton to Elvis. Michael
loves living in the East coast! Since moving here 7 years
ago, he has done 3 national commercials, several regional
commercials as well as national and local print work.
Michael is very thankful for all the opportunities he has
been given but most grateful for his wife and children.
In addition to performing, Michael is also a triathlete. He
has placed in the top 20 in all 5 of the Olympic races that
he has competed in. His goal is to one day compete in the
Kona Iron man in Hawaii.
